چکیده

Abstract Purpose of Review Graphene is introduced in dentistry as a material to be used the fabrication or coating dental implants due its biocompatibility, ability physically interact with biomolecules and very high surface area. This review highlights current knowledge on general properties graphene, potential benefits especially when zirconia-based implants, composite materials coatings. Recent Findings The literature reviewed showed growing body evidence supporting use graphene-based material, associated titanium zirconia that helps cell viability, differentiation proliferation, improving bioactivity, osseointegration, physical, chemical mechanical particularly zirconia. Graphene-based present great for biomedical applications form nanostructured biological coatings can obtained through reproducible economical processes. Summary graphene implant may have osseointegration bone regeneration, providing that, features including hydrophilicity, protein adsorption capacity, oxygen content effect external parameters such temperature, pH ionic strength need further elucidations before they implemented implants.

The osseointegration of zirconia dental implants.

Zirconia is currently extensively used in medicine, especially in orthopedic surgery for various joint replacement appliances. Its outstanding mechanical and chemical properties have made it the "material of choice" for various types of prostheses. Its color in particular makes it a favored material to manufacture dental implants. A literature search through Medline enables one to see zirconia'...

Graphene composites with dental and biomedical applicability

Pure graphene in the form of few-layer graphene (FLG) - 1 to 6 layers - is biocompatible and non-cytotoxic. This makes FLG an ideal material to incorporate into dental polymers to increase their strength and durability. It is well known that graphene has high mechanical strength and has been shown to enhance the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of biomaterials. However, for commerci...
